World's largest EV charging network
Our client is an electric vehicle infrastructure company based in California. It operates the largest online network of independently owned EV charging stations operating in USA and other 13 countries. It is a fairly unique company and it provides unique opportunities to engineers.

Millions of drivers will be switching to electric vehicles over the coming years. We need your help to make their experience easy. You will design and build back-end systems that power our mobile app, provide special benefits to drivers, and more. You will work with a collaborative, cross-functional team that takes ideas from the drawing board to full-scale implementation. Your outstanding work will speed up the transition to electrified transportation worldwide!
 
  • We are bootstrapping and transforming the whole industry of vehicles and vehicle charging. Most of the vehicles in the world will be electric. All of these vehicles will have to get charged. There are very few industries like this one right now. This is a young but established industry with guaranteed growth for several decades.
  • We are using an augmented team model. The N-iX engineers who join the team are expected to work on the same projects as other company engineers.
  • We use a team-based rather than project/product-based model. This means that we are motivated to make sure that engineers who join the team are happy, enjoy the work, and stay with us for many years.
  • Since we apply similar high standards, N-iX folks who will be joining the team should expect to meet other qualified and talented people. It's always great to have other solid engineers around you.
 
What You Will Bring to the product:
 
  • You make thoughtful and respectful contributions to code reviews and design discussions.
  • You are excited to dive into code you’ve never seen before, figure out what it does, make it better, and document it.
  • You define user requirements, discuss trade-offs, and plan timelines.
  • You mentor junior developers and make your team stronger.
  • You test your code to ensure correctness and minimize regressions.
  • You have a respectful, positive, and constructive attitude.
 
Requirements:
 
  • You have 4 or more years of experience with Java
  • Working experience with microservices architecture
  • You were working with AWS or any other cloud provider
  • You worked with OpenAPI
  • You have a strong understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
  • You know how to apply computer science algorithms and data structures
  • You are ready to use Golang (5% of work, as it will be replaced soon)
  • You communicate effectively with cross-functional groups
