About our client:
The core application is Miacademy, one of the most interactive and fastest-growing online learning platforms for children from Kindergarten through 8th grade. We've also just released an exciting addition: MiaPrep, a version of our product for high schoolers. Our approach is to implement new and innovative ways in which children can learn online. For example, we are currently working with a research team to evaluate the application of an Elo system in education with the purpose of providing the right level of challenging tasks to each member.

Miacademy and MiaPrep offer many sophisticated features to their customers, which, in turn, require advanced approaches to software engineering. Our team includes winners of international programming competitions, accomplished mathematicians, and leading researchers in the area of educational games.

As a UX designer, you must possess strong creative, technical, and problem-solving skills. Above all, you will be tasked with creating effective, usable, and beautiful designs with the goal of improving the students' experience and improving their learning process. As an educational platform that creates its own educational content, you will also be working with our own content creators to better understand what tools they need in order to create effective courses for students. You will be collaborating with an international team of designers, web developers, and content creators. You will ensure the quality of the implementation of your designs by creating detailed specifications for developers, and by working closely with them throughout the implementation process.
You must have the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and be willing to keep your skills and industry knowledge current.

Job responsibilities:
  • Developing personas and usage scenarios;
  • Creating wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps, screen flows, and prototypes;
  • Set up, run, and evaluate the results of usability tests;
  • Analyzing user feedback and activity and iterating to enhance the user experience;
  • Conducting competitor and customer analysis;
  • Use your understanding of the customer to mold the vision for the website as well as the vision for the educational content that we create;
  • Be mindful of the business, technical, and users needs during the design process to create designs that are realistic and practical.
