Database Administrator (#15916654)

N-iX is looking for a Senior DBA to join our team in Poland. Our customer is the leading school transportation solutions provider in North America. Every day, the company completes 5 million student journeys, moving more passengers than all U.S. airlines combined and delivers reliable, quality services including full-service transportation and management, special-needs transportation, route optimization and scheduling, maintenance, and charter services for 1,100 school district contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support in production and non-production environment in MS Azure
• Plan, test, and implement server upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches
• Create, handle and monitor ADF v2 pipelines
• Build, update and run scripts in databricks notebooks. Troubleshoot and fix errors related to data ingestion
• Oversee development and modification efforts in Azure Synapse data warehouse
• Monitor Windows Server 2016 Virtual Machines
• Monitor and resolve any issues noted for server performance, disk space usage, event logs, login scripts, drive mappings, spam filtering and antivirus logs
• Install, configure and provide day to day support after implementation, including off hours as needed

• 3+ Years of experience in maintaining Microsoft Azure environment (Databricks, ADF v2, Azure Synapse, CosmosDB)
• Experience with MS SQL Server 
• Perfect troubleshooting skills
• Perfect understanding of Data Security procedures
