N-iX is looking for skilled and mature Senior VoIP Engineer to join the team, improve and implement new ideas on customer's platform. Our customer is a telecommunications company, which has been providing communication services and data transmission based on a broad range of fixed and mobile technologies, including 4G (LTE) and few years ago became the largest mobile operator and one of the largest broadband Internet providers.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain VoIP systems to ensure reliable and efficient VoIP networks
- Design and implement clustering and distributed communication systems for load balancing and fault tolerance
- Develop scripts to automate system tasks and handle Kafka administration
- Establish network equipment and services troubleshooting/monitoring
- Perform server administration tasks and provide Linux-based support
- Follow the architecture and principles of building operator-class data transmission networks
- Work in an Agile environment and adhere to its practices
Requirements:
- 3+ years of commercial experience in building solutions based on VoIP-technologies
- Proficiency in configuring and operating software switches such as FreeSWITCH, Asterisk, Kamailio/OpenSIPS
- In-depth knowledge of protocols such as VoIP (SIP, H.323, IAX, T.38, MGCP), NAT, JSON-RPC
- Wel-versed in the operation of relational DBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and writing complex SQL queries
- Hands-on experience with TDM channel-forming equipment (PDH multiplexers, TDMoIP) and Cisco, Eltex, AudioCodes, AddPac, and Linksys
- Familiarity with UPATS and Hybrid IP PBX systems
- Knowledge of at least one programming language (Lua, Python, Perl, PHP, Shell scripting)
- Experience with server administration and Linux-based support
- Understanding of operator-class data transmission network architecture and principles
- Experience in IP-telephony solutions operation and development
- Skilled in Kafka administration
- Familiarity with Agile practices and working with Atlassian products like Jira, Confluence
Nice to have:
- Desirable experience in the telecommunications domain
- Basic knowledge of building a GSM network
- Experience in developing systems for call centers
- Experience in the creation of "cloud" communication services
