N-iX is looking for talented and proactive Lead Automation QA Engineer to join our team! Our customer is the European online car market with over 30 million monthly users, with a market presence in 18 countries. As a Lead QA Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of online car markets and enhancing the user experience for millions of car buyers and sellers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA Engineers.
  • Mentor a team of developers to ensure they are using best practices of QA approaches.
  • Develop and implement QA strategies and processes.
  • Identify and manage risks.
  • Review and analyse requirements and technical documents, providing timely feedback.
  • Prioritise and plan testing activities.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Participate in feature planning and provide suggestions on testing strategy.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Take initiative in problem-solving.
  • Communicate proactively and seek clarification when needed.

Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of commercial experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
  • 2+ years of experience leading and mentoring a team of QA Engineers.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Strong at REST and GraphQL API testing (Postman, Swagger).
  • Experience in Mobile testing (Android, iOS).
  • Experience in Automation testing, preferably in JavaScript or Java
  • Experience using bug-tracking tools such as Jira and/or similar bug-tracking tools.
  • Gathering and helping to define acceptance criteria in collaboration with product owners.
  • Test case creation from user stories utilising a variety of techniques.
  • Test data creation and maintenance.
  • Defect triage and Management.
  • Knowledge of submission workflows for mobile applications (Apple/Google Play) is a plus.
  • Upper-Intermediate level of English.
