We are seeking a Senior Ruby Backend Developer to support the maintenance and enhancement of an existing platform for a US-based company. The ideal candidate will have robust experience with Ruby on Rails (RoR) and be comfortable using Jira and Confluence for task management and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and optimize the performance of the existing platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements.
- Deliver high-quality code that aligns with project goals and timelines.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation using Confluence.
- Manage tasks and project workflows in Jira.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails for senior candidates;
- Strong knowledge of backend development principles and relational databases.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote/distributed team environment.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting and improving legacy systems is highly desirable.
