Senior Business Analyst/Product Owner (#4199)

We are seeking a skilled Senior Business Analyst/Product Owner to take a central role in a new external API development project for a leading mental health digital product aimed at the UK and US markets.

As the vital link between our business, clinical, and technology teams, you will be responsible for translating complex business needs into actionable technical requirements. You will work closely with developers, designers, and both business and clinical stakeholders driving the product roadmap and ensuring that all integrations and data exchanges adhere to the highest standards of security and healthcare data governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and drive the product roadmap for the external API, Web and Mobile platforms, aligning business, clinical, and technical priorities
• Define, refine, and prioritize the product backlog, balancing business value, technical feasibility, and delivery capacity to maximize impact
• Lead requirements gathering and analysis, translating complex needs into clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions with clear objectives, defined outcomes, and structured follow-ups
• Collaborate with clinical, business, and engineering stakeholders, including the CEO and Heads of Product, Marketing and Design, ensuring alignment and delivery readiness
• Translate product vision into functional and technical specifications, working closely with developers and architects to ensure feasibility
• Proactively manage the product backlog and support the Project Manager with sprint planning, refinement, and other Scrum ceremonies
• Identify and track dependencies across cross-functional teams to ensure smooth predictable delivery
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards when handling sensitive and clinical data
• Support and drive internal UAT testing
• Proactively identify opportunities to optimize processes, improve product usability, and enhance integration

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4-5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, System Analyst or Product Owner
• Experience in the healthcare industry, ideally with mental health or CBT-related product
• Strong understanding of clinical and patient data workflows and data sensitivity
• Hands-on experience with APIs, SDKs, and data exchange between internal systems, and 3rd parties
• Understanding of data reporting, data structures, and integration between analytical and operational systems
• Working knowledge of SQL/Relational DB
• Expertise with Jira and Confluence
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to translate business and clinical processes into system requirements
• Demonstrated ownership and accountability in driving product and requirements activities
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills
• Highly proactive, organized, and responsible, with strong attention to detail
• Confident in leading workshops, coordinating stakeholders across business, clinical, and engineering teams

Nice to have:

• Experience with UI/UX activities, including collaboration with designers and wireframing.
• Exposure to mobile applications and back-office/admin systems
• Experience coordinating UAT testing and translating findings into actionable tickets
