N-iX is looking for a Freelance Business Analyst to join our team. Our customer is the largest Telecom company in Japan, and the third largest E-commerce marketplace company worldwide.   • Work with the Client to understand and refine the project requirements for the Workflow Manager stream of work
  • Serve as primary contact to senior management regarding the project scope and priorities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the product/module being developed and provide instruction / support / consulting services when requested
  • Act as a product owner for a Scrum development team
  • Translate product vision into low level functional, system, and data requirements for software engineering team to execute
  • Drive and own backlog prioritization and management, support user story definition and well defined acceptance criteria
  • Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements to all involved parties
  • Partner with UX designers, drive wireframes creation and establish feedback loops from customers
  • Resolve scope and priority conflicts
  • Assist in creating basic test scenarios in order to verify that client requirements are incorporated into the system design
  • Triage issues (defects/bugs) to ensure alignment with the defined requirements and provide responses to outstanding issues
  • Participate in internal testing of the product before it is released to the client or passed to the external QA team
  • Drive documentation and maintenance of the project deliverables (requirements, design, user guides, etc)
  • Trigger and facilitate the collaboration between stakeholders in case of any requirements-related questions or doubts
  • Conduct meetings and presentations when requested
  • Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
  • Guide the teamt in finding creative ways to deliver more value with less scope and effort


  • 2+ years experience as a Product Owner or equivalent role working in an agile/scrum environment
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Outstanding planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Solid team attitude, ability to work successfully as a team player
  • An Agile mindset
  • Experience developing different common business analysis artifacts like user stories, functional specifications, NFRs, matrices, scenarios, wireframes, etc.
  • Ability to quickly acquire a thorough understanding of the products, business, customers and users.
  • Readiness to take on problems that have unclear direction and very little definition
  • Strength to make hard choices and trade-off on priorities and out of scope functionality
  • Initiative and a desire to produce results in a dynamic organization
  • Proven record organizing effective communication with clients and delivering presentations
  • Knowledge of project management and business analysis lifecycle and related tools
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong sense of accountability
  • Consistently positive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Willingness to learn on a daily basis
