QA Team Lead


N-iX is looking for a talented Test Engineer who can become a part of our team and contribute new ideas into product development.

Our client is the leading UK Digital challenger to banks. They’ve spent the past 12 years building banking services that are fast, smart and simple to challenge with the High Street banks.  Requirements:
  • 4+ years of enterprise software product quality assurance experience
  • Strong understanding of SDLC
  • Experience in Agile development and Scrum framework
    Good spoken and written Upper-Intermediate knowledge of English 
  • Experience in performance (response, load, etc.) testing
  • Experience testing Microsoft multi-tier web applications
  • Demonstrable experience of creating test cases 
  • Knowledge of defect Management/tracking tools (e.g. JIRA) 
  • SQL query knowledge for back end data validation
  • ISTQB certification 
Would be a plus:
  • Knowledge of Automation testing (approaches, when to apply etc) 
  • Knowledge of writing automated tests 
  • Basic knowledge of C# or Java
  • Knowledge of payment schemes and processing (e.g. Faster Payments, Swift, Direct Debit, CASS, SEPA)
  • Beneficial financial services experience
  • Security testing, penetration testing 
Responsibilities:
  • Hands-on testing within the assigned project team 
  • Coach and mentor QA engineers working on agile project teams to understand the quality process and improve their skill set
  • Compile quality metrics and identify optimizations and improvements
  • Review your team’s test case suites, text execution progress and quality deliverables
  • Organize and manage defect triage and coordinate GO / NO GO decision with other project stakeholders to ensure successful releases
  • Escalate issues appropriately to project stakeholders
  • Evaluate new QA tools & processes and introduce tangible improvements to quality
  • Ensure that internal quality processes are followed and produce test reports, defect tracking, and other documentation that supports the quality standards of our software
