Data Engineer


We're looking for a rock-star quality SQL Data Base Engineer who is excited to learn about our Argentina client entire ecosystems of technologies. You will be working with one of the leaders in delivering end-to-end wireless services and software solutions to industries worldwide.

Responsibilities:
  • Designs & codes applications following specifications using the appropriate tools, generating well-designed, testable code
  • Maintains and modifies existing applications without supervision as well as under direction from senior staff members.
  • Executing full lifecycle software development
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems (Strong analytical and problem solving skills)
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
 
Required skills:
  • 2-3 years of experience in relational databases including modeling, complex queries writing
  • Deep knowledge of SQL language; ability to write complex, highly-optimized queries across large volumes of data
  • Good programming skills on at least one high level programming language in use by the requesting team or project (like C#, Java, Python)
  • Exposure on Machine Learning concepts and big data tools (like Hadoop, Spark)
  • Knowledge in Analytical databases (like Vertica)
  • Good Knowledge in object Oriented concepts.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative. Ability to translate ideas and business requirements into fully functioning ETL workflows
  • Experience with Configuration Management and Deployment (like Jenkins, GIT) and Bug Tracking tools (like JIRA)
