This position will be responsible for defining the secure element architecture (SE) on the SIM and working closely with internal teams in designing and developing SE solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design SIM and device-SIM interaction requirements
  • Working with interdepartmental teams toward the design and development of new SIM-based services and solutions
  • Participate in trials and evaluations of next generation devices and platforms
  • Ability to study relevant standards (3GPP, Global Platform, GSMA, SIMAlliance, etc.) and specifications to guide cross-functional teams during creation of call flows or device and embedded SIM requirements and test plans
  • Responsibility for tracking and actively contributing to new GSMA related development

Required skills:

  • Strong understanding of Secure Element architecture and SIMalliance Open API
  • Good experience in mobile embedded systems and products is required
  • Wireless engineering experience or strong understanding of wireless infrastructure (3G and 4G)
  • Excellent knowledge of UICC, eUICC, LTE, IMS, SIM Toolkit, SIM OTA, and JavaCard
  • Nice to have: Development and debug experience on mobile phones with USIM, ISIM, CSIM support using SIM tracing tools
  • Good understanding of relevant 3GPP, 3GPP2, ETSI, Global Platform, SIMalliance, and GSMA standards
