We are Dare, an energy tech company using the power of data science, analytics, and trading expertise to help the world reach a renewable future, faster. We are looking for an expert Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our rapidly expanding business.

At Dare, you will be joining a team of ambitious people who challenge themselves and each other to drive innovation. Our team has built one of the leading trading management systems in the market, with this cutting-edge technology being a large part of Dare’s rapid rise in the sector. You will support our existing trading business by maintaining our in-house trading and risk management platform. You will also help us expand our business by working on greenfield projects to support growth into new markets.

We are looking for a meticulous and curious individual with strong Python and Go programming skills. You will also have familiarity with modern web technologies being comfortable with both back-end systems and front-end development. You will be part of a growing team of talented engineers with a knack for problem-solving. Your goal will be to provide the trading floor with an edge in the market while learning the intricacies of our industry and our business.

Responsibilities: 

  •  Reporting directly to Head of Software
  • Working within the development team with both back-end and front-end developers to maintain and expand our systems
  • To build familiarity with Dare’s internal software systems
  • To add value by tackling projects on our roadmap
  • Progress to owning projects and being a source of technical expertise in the team

Requirements:

  • Excellent Python (Django) and Go skills gained from professional experience
  • Experience with SQL databases
  • Experience of modern web technologies including WebSockets and a JavaScript framework
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and keen to learn new things
  • Experience working as a member of a small development team, providing support and cover
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good collaborative working approach – both within a functional team and across multi-functional teams

Good to have: 

  • Experience with React and Typescript
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks
  • A quantitative or STEM degree
