The Lead Engineer will be involved in the development of functionally rich, robust and user-friendly mobile applications, following through all stages of the Agile software development life cycle from inception to implementation. The successful candidate will lead a cross-functional team including QA and developers The ideal candidate for this role should be able to thrive in dynamic environments, have a strong work ethic, positive energy and the ability to innovate.
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance to a team designing and building mobile apps using React Native
- Work with business stakeholders, product owner, and team members to develop mobile applications
- Lead a team of developers and QAs and foster learning on your team
- Drive to keep projects on track
- Keep senior leaders well informed during the project life cycle
- Ensure data security is enforced through the use of roles, profiles, and sharing rules
- Able to gain organizational awareness and propel projects forward through collaboration and communication
- Recommend solutions leveraging the toolsets available in React Native that meet the business needs
- Manage key milestone delivery and scope of the project
- Provide the design for review to the Solutions Architect on the project
Requirements:
- 6+ years of software development
- Team leading experience
- Solid knowledge and experience with React Native in cross-platform mobile development
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP)
- Experience working knowledge of SOAP and RESTful integrations
- Knowledge of Agile (preferably SCRUM) development practices
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science or another related field
- Strong analytic & problem-solving skills
- Solution-focused takes initiative to work effectively within established guidelines
- Upper-Intermediate English level
- Desirable experience with mobile application development with native platforms like Android or iOS
