N-iX is looking for a bright Android System Engineer skills to fundamentally change the way consumers use technology in the car.
Our client is a global supplier of software products, development tools, and services for the automotive industry. You will have the opportunity to customize and improve variants of the Android OS for new cars and motorbikes arriving on the market.
Requirements:
- Meaningful experience delivering commercial custom Android Systems (Android Automotive, Android TV)
- Experience in Android Services and Content Providers
- Good knowledge of the lower layers of AOSP and the Android OS architecture
- Experience with Java and/or Kotlin and Android Studio
- Strong spoken and written English
- Experience in source control tools like Git
Responsibilities:
- Customization of Android System Framework for the handling of system notifications
- Customization and concerns on managing Android Multi-user environment
- Creation of best practices of Android System Lock screen implementation
- Diverse Android System Framework customizations and optimizations
- Guidance on best practices and design review on Android System customization tasks
- Custom control of applications context switching (foreground/background)
- Implementation of custom Android System Settings applications
- Design, controls and testing for Android System high reliability & availability
