We are seeking a talented and experienced UX/UI designer to join our team at Miacademy, a leading online learning platform for children from Kindergarten through 8th grade. As a Middle UX/UI Designer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the user experience and user interface of our core application, Miacademy, as well as its newly released version for high schoolers, MiaPrep. Your work will directly contribute to the growth and success of our platform, ensuring that students have an engaging and effective learning experience.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and researchers, to understand user requirements and translate them into intuitive and visually appealing designs.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to effectively communicate design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders.
- Design and iterate user interfaces for web and mobile applications, considering usability, accessibility, and scalability.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather insights to inform design decisions and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain design guidelines, style guides, and UI pattern libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency in design implementation.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure the successful implementation of designs, providing necessary assets and specifications.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX/UI design, and apply them to improve our products.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a UX/UI designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and projects.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe CC (Mainly Illustrator)
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
- Familiarity with conducting user research, usability testing, and applying user feedback to iterate and improve designs.
- Strong visual design skills, including typography, color theory, and layout composition.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and researchers.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality designs within project timelines.
- A passion for education, a strong interest in online learning, and an understanding of the unique design challenges associated with educational platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing educational or e-learning platforms.
- Familiarity with gamification principles and the design of educational games.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines.
- Understanding of data visualization and data-driven design approaches.
