Localization Engineer (#608)

To strengthen our Localization team, we are currently seeking a part-time employee in the field of Localization (m/f/d) with excellent English skills and experience in implementing machine translation solutions.

Cleverbridge is a platform that provides global e-commerce and subscription billing solutions that help companies build long-term customer relationships and grow revenue streams. With its flexible, cloud-based billing and monetization platform, cleverbridge integrates seamlessly with client systems, simplifies subscription business models, and delivers an optimized online customer experience.

Responsibilities

As a Localization Engineer you will create, adapt, and maintain texts for our E-commerce platform in collaboration with the software development team and other departments. You will organize translations for a total of 32 languages and handle translation requests from other departments.

Furthermore, you will evaluate and support the implementation of AI-based text generation and localization (e.g., using ChatGPT, DeepL,etc.).

• You will evaluate the risks and opportunities of machine translation
• solutions.
• You will handle project management tasks for translations, database
• maintenance, and text creation.
• You will work on smaller translation requests from various departments
• and communicate with our freelance translators.
• You will ensure high linguistic and technical quality of translations.

Requirements

• You are available to support us for 24 hours per week.
• You possess excellent English language skills.
• You have prior experience with machine translation.
• You have basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• You have experience with CAT tools (especially memoQ).
• Ideally, you have previous experience with SQL.
• You communicate openly and proactively.
• You demonstrate a “hands-on” attitude and enjoy contributing your ideas.
• You work diligently, are committed, and a good team player.
