Technology Office designs and executes industry-relevant inventions that allow organizations to realize exceptional business value from technology. We are looking for an energetic and passionate Data Engineer who can bring their experience and knowledge to our Technology Office team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data solutions for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture;
- Collaborate with the team to decide on which tools and strategies to use within specific data integration scenarios;
- Work with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs;
- Develop and maintain code and documentation for ETL and other data integration projects and procedures;
- Monitor and anticipate trends in data engineering, and propose changes in alignment with organizational goals and needs;
- Share knowledge with other teams on various data engineering or project related topics.
Required experience and skills:
- At least 5 or more years of experience working in the data engineering field;
- Proficiency in SQL language;
- Strong knowledge of Python language;
- Experience in building and optimization of high volume ETL processes;
- Experience in data migrations;
- Experience in modeling and optimization workflows;
- Experience with AWS;
- English – Upper-Intermediate.
Would be a plus:
- Cloud certifications;
- Knowledge of automation services (Terraform, AWS CodeBuild, Jenkins);
- Knowledge of visualization technologies (Microsoft PowerBI, Looker);
- Knowledge of popular data standards and formats (e.g, JSON, XML, Proto, Parquet, Avro, ORC, etc);
- Data modelling skills;
- Experience in AWS Redshift
- Experience in AGILE methodologies;
- Experience in implementing custom APIs and connectors;
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information systems/engineering, computer science and management or related.
