We are seeking a talented Front-End Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative web applications that serve as analytics solutions. As a Front-End Engineer, you will play a crucial role in implementing engaging user interfaces for our analytics products, with a primary focus on developing dynamic charts and visualizations. These applications will empower users to explore and interact with data in meaningful ways. Your expertise in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, coupled with knowledge of frontend frameworks like ReactJS, will drive the creation of intuitive and insightful analytics interfaces.
Responsibilities:
- Develop dynamic and interactive charts and visualizations using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to facilitate data exploration and analysis.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers to translate design wireframes and mockups into responsive and visually compelling front-end components.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to support complex data visualization functionalities and interactions.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize application performance for large datasets and real-time analytics.
- Stay updated with the latest front-end development trends and best practices, particularly in the realm of data visualization and analytics.
- Work in tandem with data engineers to integrate frontend components, ensuring seamless data processing and retrieval.
- Leverage TypeScript to enhance the development of Palantir Foundry Functions, enabling analysis workflows within the analytics platform.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Contribute to the improvement of development processes and best practices.
- Write well-documented, clean, and efficient code
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in JavaScript with a strong understanding of ES6+ features.
- Solid experience with HTML5 and CSS3, particularly in the context of building data-driven web applications.
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as ReactJS, and their application in developing interactive data visualizations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, especially in implementing complex data visualization functionalities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality front-end solutions for analytics products.
- Understanding of TypeScript for building scalable and maintainable frontend applications, including its application in Palantir Foundry Functions.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Palantir Foundry for data integration and analysis, or similar analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of SQL for database querying and manipulation, particularly for data retrieval and aggregation in analytics workflows.
- Familiarity with NodeJS and its ecosystem for server-side development, with a focus on supporting frontend-backend communication in analytics solutions.
- Familiarity with database systems (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
