Senior BigData Engineer (#1681)

N-iX Data Department is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to participate in projects with cutting-edge technologies. We started building our Big Data expertise only a few years ago. Today, we have 30+ Data projects at N-iX and a community of 200+ engineers. Together with our clients, we develop Data lakes, work with geospatial data, perform data migration to the cloud, real-time data streaming, ML solutions, and whatnot. We are doing projects ranging from aviation technology and telecom to industrial supply chain and retail. We partner with companies all around the world, from the US and Europe to Japan and Jordan, which makes our projects even more diverse.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the team to decide on which tools and strategies to use within specific data integration scenarios;
• Work with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs;
• Develop and maintain code and documentation for ETL and other data integration projects and procedures;
• Share knowledge within the team on various data engineering or project-related topics.

Required experience and skills:

• At least 5 or more years of experience working in the data engineering field;
• Proficiency in SQL language;
• Strong knowledge of Python language;
• Hands-on experience with PySpark (or Spark);
• Experience in building and optimization of high-volume ETL processes;
• Experience in data migrations;
• Experience in modeling and optimization workflows;
• In-depth knowledge of AWS data services, including Redshift, S3, Lambda, CodeBuild, CodeCommit, and CloudFormation;
• Data modeling skills;
• English – Upper-Intermediate.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Databricks
• Knowledge of visualization technologies (PowerBI, Looker, Tableau)
