About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Python Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be developing an application dedicated to helping users find affordable vacation packages. It offers a wide range of travel deals, including last-minute offers, holiday packages, and budget-friendly trips to various popular destinations worldwide. Users can search for and book vacations, whether they're looking for beach holidays, active getaways, or city trips. The platform also provides up-to-date travel deals from TV programs, allowing users to book directly online and secure the best prices for their desired travel experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Python
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatisation.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Mentor junior developers and share knowledge with the team.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Python development.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
- Proficient with database technologies such as Redis, MariaDB, ElasticSearch
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g,Vue.js) is a plus.
- Experience with Docker and containerisation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
