Currently, we are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager with strong data experience to join and lead one of the key development streams.

Our Department consists of multiple data projects with 300+ engineers and we are looking for a strong engineering manager to start new projects and manage them.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead development teams ensuring efficiency, goal orientation, and achievement of business goals
  • Deploy and evolve software development processes across teams based on Agile principles and practices
  • Ensure the proper level of cooperation and alignment between key functional components of the development stream (development teams, product manager, architect, etc) and cross-stream stakeholders
  • Lead planning efforts involving development, product, architecture, and quality perspectives
  • Identify and communicate project and product risks alongside mitigation strategies
  • Manage and communicate project status, apply corrective measures when necessary
  • Address customer issues efficiently, lead towards process and product improvement
  • Deploy and monitor KPI and team performance metrics
  • Mentoring team leadership and managers to reach optimal development performance
  • Client communication.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role
  • In-depth understanding of data engineering concepts, including data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data lakes
  • Proficiency in working with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), especially with services related to data engineering.
  • Experience in Data Projects starting from scratch
  • Data Quality and Security aspects of data
  • Proficiency in agile team-level development processes (e.g. Scrum)
  • Strong analytical, structured, and inventive thinking toward problem resolution
  • Self-motivation and example-based leadership skill
  • Upper-Intermediate/Advanced English level
  • Reediness for business trips.
