Senior BI Software Engineer responsibilities include:
- Knowledge of tools such as Power BI reporting tools
- Experience working in data and analytics programs.
- Experience with databases: Sql server.
- Demonstrable experience in QA methodologies
- Familiarity with all types of testing viz functional, integration, regression, smoke/sanity, acceptance, system testing, non-functional: performance, migration.
- Proficient in writing complex SQLs and hands on experience data ingestion/validation/transformation testing, & reconciliation of data across data layer
- Working experience on large volumes of structure & unstructured data.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience as a QA Engineer
- Extensive experience with SQL Server, including database design, development, and performance tuning.
- In-depth understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and data governance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude
Desirable skills:
- Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry knowledge.
- Testing of Custom Power BI visuals
- UX experience
- Experience with SSRS and/or Tableau
- Azure DevOps
