About the role

The Data Architect is a data management and modeling expert responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-wide data architectures, strategies, and data collection processes that meet the client's requirements. They work with developers and IT teams to ensure that databases, data warehouses, data pipelines, and other data-related systems meet client requirements and operate effectively and efficiently.

What will you do?

  • Develop data architectures and strategies that meet the client's requirements
  • Create data models that correspond to the client's business needs
  • Develop database designs and specifications
  • Evaluate and provide technical support in the selection of database and data management tools
  • Monitor data integrity and security
  • Create data access and delivery strategies
  • Develop policies and procedures for data management according to client requirements
  • Monitor the performance of databases and other data-related systems
  • Develop solutions for data integration and migration
  • Develop data analysis and reporting strategies

 

Required skills and experience

  • In-depth technical knowledge of databases, including:
    • Relational Databases (e.g., Postgres, DynamoDB, RDS, MySQL, Oracle, DB2, MSSQL, Sybase, Ingres)
    • NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch)
    • Multi-dimensional Databases (e.g., Essbase, Anaplan)
  • Expertise in data protection and compliance
  • Proficiency in creating solutions to manage large amounts of data, such as Big Data Environment Platform Design (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
  • Ability to develop data models that meet business requirements
  • Experience with Real-time Data Platforms (e.g., Spark)
  • Knowledge of API Scripts and Tools (e.g., JSON etc. on Mulesoft, Apigee)
  • Familiarity with Public Cloud Data Tools

 

Nice to have

  • Experience with multiple database management systems, including:
    • Legacy systems (e.g., Adabas, IMS, CICS, Datacom, IDMS)
    • SAP S/4HANA
    • Realtime DB (e.g., Firebase, Redshift, Redis)
  • Knowledge of data governance principles
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions
  • Understanding of machine learning and AI applications in data architecture
  • Experience with data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of Blockchain technologies (e.g., Java, Python, C++, Simplicity, Node.js, Go, Solidity)
  • Experience with High Performance Data Modeling Tools (e.g., Terraform, Ab Initio)
