We are looking for a Senior SAP BW Engineer to join our team!
Our client is the leading retail chain in Uzbekistan, with about a million regular customers and more than 125 stores in 11 regions. The company operates supermarkets, neighborhood stores, convenience stores, a wholesale store, and an online supermarket. The client also runs two warehouses (dry and temperature-controlled) and a fruits/vegetables hub.
We aim to deploy a robust, flexible, and scalable Data Warehouse, BI platform, and analytics layer, along with data processing tools (e.g., Python workbooks) and integrations with Client’s IT systems. This project will enhance data governance practices and support significant company growth, laying the groundwork for advanced AI/ML solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain SAP BW solutions to support clients' data warehousing and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and optimize ETL processes to load data into SAP BW from various source systems.
- Create and maintain data models, InfoObjects, InfoProviders, DataStore Objects (DSOs), and more within SAP BW.
- Develop BEx queries, reports, and dashboards to meet business reporting needs.
- Perform data validation, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Optimize performance of SAP BW applications and reports.
- Implement best practices for data management, security, and compliance within SAP BW.
- Provide support and maintenance for existing SAP BW applications and address issues as they arise.
- Document technical specifications, processes, and solutions to ensure comprehensive knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (5+ years) as an SAP BW Developer, with hands-on experience in SAP BW/4HANA.
- Strong knowledge of SAP BW concepts and architecture.
- Proficiency in developing and optimizing ETL processes in SAP BW.
- Experience with data modeling, including InfoObjects, InfoProviders, DSOs, and other SAP BW components.
- Strong skills in creating and optimizing BEx queries, reports, and dashboards.
- Familiarity with SAP Data Services, SAP HANA, and other related technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Nice to Have:
- Certification in SAP BW/4HANA or related SAP modules.
- Experience with other SAP modules and integration with SAP BW.
- Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts beyond SAP BW.
- Previous experience in the retail sector.
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts and integration within data warehousing solutions.
