We are looking for a Senior React Engineer to join our team. 

Our customer is an American global commerce leader based in California, one of the most popular and successful e-commerce websites on the Internet. It provides inspiring services by connecting millions of users in more than 190 markets around the world. 

The Senior React Engineer will be responsible for managing the FE team to build an innovative cloud-based livestreaming project to shape the future of global e-commerce. Our goal is to personalize the online shopping experience, engage customers with more ways to interact with sellers, and automate processes to increase buying satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
  • Communicate with multi-functional teams to streamline the workflow
  • Suggest technical and functional improvements to add value to the product
  • Conduct design reviews and code reviews to maintain high quality
  • Identify UI problems and bugs and devise efficient solutions
  • Collaborating with project leadership in the Pacific Time Zone (3-4 hours overlap)

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with JavaScript (React), including server-side rendered React.
  • Proficiency in Typescript, HTML, and CSS, with a strong focus on responsive and adaptive design principles (RWD).
  • Practical knowledge of GraphQL (Apollo) and Protocol Buffers.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks (Vitest/Jest + testing-library).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with unit, integration, and functional UI testing.
  • Well-developed English language skills (B2-C1).
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with e2e testing tools (Cypress).
  • Familiarity with server technologies like NodeJS (ExpressJS).
  • Experience building or setting up shared component libraries and application builds (server and client).
  • A DevOps mindset, with experience using Jenkins to automate builds, releases, and PR validations.
  • Knowledge of WebSockets and/or WebRTC for real-time communication.
