Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) (#3753)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team, specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The successful candidate will lead the quality assurance process for customizations, extensions, and integrations within the Business Central platform. This role requires a deep understanding of ERP systems, strong analytical skills, and the ability to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet business requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Test Strategy and Planning: Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for Business Central customizations, including AL code, page extensions, reports, and integrations.
• Test Execution: Oversee manual testing of Business Central solutions, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring full coverage of financial, sales, inventory, and other modules.
• Defect Management: Track, prioritize, and manage defects using tools like Azure DevOps or similar, collaborating with developers to ensure timely fixes and retesting.
• Performance Testing: Conduct performance and load testing on Business Central solutions, particularly for large datasets (e.g., G/L Entries, Customer Ledger), to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Documentation and Reporting: Create detailed test reports, including test coverage, defect summaries, and quality metrics, to communicate findings to stakeholders and support decision-making.
• Collaboration: Work closely with functional consultants, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements, validate configurations, and ensure alignment with business processes.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure testing processes comply with Microsoft standards, industry regulations (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), and internal quality policies.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 7+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 5 years focused on ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with Business Central modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Inventory).
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., AL Test Tooling, SpecFlow) and version control systems (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git).
• Knowledge of API testing and integration points (e.g., OData, REST APIs).
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes of defects.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant or Developer Associate is a plus.
