The Senior Accountant ensures accurate, compliant, and standardized financial accounting across the N-iX Group entities. This role is pivotal in maintaining local accounting policies and the Chart of Accounts aligned with local GAAPs and Group standards, for ensuring all financial information is accurately and completely recorded, maintaining compliance with both local and international accounting standards. This includes managing the month-end closing process, overseeing the work of outsourced accountants, and performing thorough reconciliations to ensure accuracy. The position drives automation and efficiency in accounting operations, supports Group Reporting and Tax in policy implementation and audits, and is key to the transformation and alignment of accounting processes across the Group.
Responsibilities:
1.Execution and control:
- Control primary bookkeeping for N-iX Group of entities according to local GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Maintain local accounting policies and the Chart of Accounts in line with Group requirements.
- Lead and manage the month-end closing process; investigate and resolve discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
- Prepare and review the necessary adjustments for the month-end close.
- Oversee and review the preparation of the local financial statements and statutory reports (VAT, CIT, etc.), working in coordination with outsourced staff as necessary.
2.Regulatory Compliance & Standardization:
- Ensure robust compliance with Group accounting and reporting policies, providing expertise in IFRS and supporting management accounting transformation initiatives.
- Remain current on updates in accounting regulations and standards; proactively implement changes across relevant Group entities.
3.Financial Reconciliations:
- Perform and review detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring all financial information aligns with supporting documents.
4.Review of Outsourced Accountants' Work:
- Oversee and review the work performed by outsourced accountants to ensure consistency, accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies.
- Drive automation and efficiency in financial accounting operations, identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Provide guidance and feedback to external teams to ensure alignment of financial accounting with Group accounting policy.
5.Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
6.Lead the design, alignment, and documentation of accounting processes across Group entities, fostering consistency and standardization.
7.Contribute to projects focused on finance transformation and best-practice sharing.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar financial role, ideally within an international group structure.
- Upper-intermediate level of English
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; advanced certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, experience with Accounting software ( Microsoft D365 Business Central will be a plus)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex financial processes independently.
