We are looking for an Business Continuity Manager to support the development and governance of Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Disaster Recovery (DR) frameworks within a global technology-driven organization in the insurance services industry. The role focuses on ensuring operational resilience by aligning business availability requirements with IT recovery capabilities and maintaining structured continuity planning across the organization.
The position involves defining and coordinating continuity strategies, supporting recovery planning for critical systems, and helping ensure that the organization can maintain or quickly resume operations in the event of major technical disruptions or incidents, while meeting regulatory and resilience standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Resilience Planning & BCM Framework
Define and implement the Group’s Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies.
Ensure alignment between IT recovery capabilities and the requirements of Critical or Important Functions (CIF).
Maintain BCM/DR policies and standards in accordance with Solvd Governance Framework.
Impact Analysis & Recovery Objectives
Collaborate with Process and Application Owners to conduct and validate Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Risk Impact Analysis (RIA).
Define and document Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) for business applications, ensuring appropriate RTA and RPA.
Ensure that the BIA results are consistently reflected in the Information Domain Model (IDM).
DR Governance & Technical Redundancy
Oversee that Business Applications supporting critical processes have verified technical Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP).
Validate that redundancy and failover mechanisms are in place and aligned with the assigned criticality levels.
Testing, Validation & Reporting
Design and oversee regular Continuity and DR testing schedules (e.g., failover tests, simulation drills).
Evaluate test results, identify gaps in recovery capabilities, and track remediation plans with IT Operations.
Report on the Group’s Resilience and testing compliance.
Required Qualifications:
3–5 years of experience in IT Continuity, Disaster Recovery, IT Risk, or similar roles.
Practical experience conducting Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and defining recovery objectives (RTO / RPO).
Experience coordinating or supporting Disaster Recovery testing in cloud or on-premise environments.
Understanding of High Availability, backup, and replication strategies.
Familiarity with resilience and continuity frameworks or regulations such as ISO 22301, DORA, or NIS2.
Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate workshops and collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders.
Education / Certifications (preferred)
Degree in IT, Information Security, or related field
Certification or training in BCM (e.g., ISO 22301 Lead Implementer/Auditor) is a strong plus.
ITIL Foundation (especially Service Continuity Management) is a strong plus.
