N-iX is looking for a Senior Blockchain Software Engineer to join our team!

Our client is a leading, fully regulated US-based digital asset trading platform. They provide secure, low-latency access to cryptocurrency markets, acting as a bridge between traditional finance and the Web3 ecosystem.

Role Objective:

The Senior Blockchain Software Engineer will architect, develop, and maintain the high-throughput backend systems that power a core fintech platform. Utilizing deep expertise in Java and distributed systems, you will take ownership of advanced blockchain integrations, decentralized infrastructure, and crypto-native solutions within a highly secure and regulated environment. This role places a strong emphasis on blockchain technologies, offering opportunities to work on blockchain-based integrations, decentralized systems, and crypto infrastructure, making it ideal for engineers passionate about advancing blockchain innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-throughput backend services and APIs in Java.
• Drive architecture discussions to enhance system scalability, resiliency, and performance.
• Prioritize security and compliance as core aspects of service design and delivery.
• Collaborate with product, security, DevOps, and compliance teams on cross-functional initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and lead by example with high engineering standards and best practices.
• Lead research, prototyping, and implementation of blockchain integration opportunities (e.g., node syncing, client tooling, smart contract interactions).
• Advocate for maintainable, modern infrastructure informed by industry best practices.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of test results and report test coverage and defect trends

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Ideally ~8 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Java and experience with modern frameworks and distributed systems.
• Experience with performance optimization (e.g., low-latency systems, microservices).
• Knowledge of security and compliance best practices in financial or regulated contexts.
• Deep interest and/or hands-on experience in blockchain, crypto infrastructure, or decentralized technologies (e.g., EVM-based networks, consensus protocols).
• Strong collaboration and mentorship skills in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
• Previous background in the FinTech, Crypto, or Web3 sectors

• Upper-intermediate English proficiency is required, along with native proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to test automation frameworks and tools (Selenium, Cypress, Postman, or Maestro).
• Experience with API testing and integrating QA processes into CI/CD pipelines..
