About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst to support reporting and analytics initiatives within a global pharmaceutical organization.
The successful candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping transform business challenges into actionable reporting and analytics solutions. The role requires strong analytical thinking, experience gathering and documenting requirements, and a solid understanding of modern reporting platforms and data-driven decision-making.
The specialist will work closely with business users, Power BI developers, and data engineers to define requirements, design reporting solutions, validate concepts, and ensure delivered solutions address real business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, Power BI developers, and data engineers, to understand business objectives and identify opportunities for reporting, analytics, and process improvement.
- Conduct thorough requirements analysis for reporting and analytics initiatives, including gathering, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements to support solution design and development.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user stories, functional specifications, business requirements, process flows, reporting requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Define and document KPIs, metrics, business rules, data requirements, and reporting logic to ensure solutions effectively address business needs.
- Collaborate with Power BI and Foundry engineering teams to design and deliver reporting and analytics solutions that align with business objectives.
- Support solution validation and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring delivered reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions meet business requirements and provide meaningful insights to end users.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting, analytics, and decision-support capabilities across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst
- Experience working on reporting, analytics, BI, or data-focused projects
- Good understanding of Power BI capabilities and experience defining requirements for Power BI reporting and dashboard solutions.
- Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills
- Experience creating user stories, process flows, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
- Experience working in international and cross-functional environments
Nice to have
- Experience working with enterprise data platforms such as Palantir Foundry.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI report development, dashboard creation, or self-service analytics.
