Senior Python Engineer (#5573)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Python) to join the RX Tooling team, part of the Base Tribe. The team is responsible for building and maintaining the core services that enable secure and seamless customer access to financial products. RX Tooling owns the Know Your Customer (KYC) domain, developing and operating microservices that integrate with external KYC providers to deliver fast, reliable, and secure customer verification. The team follows an end-to-end ownership model, taking responsibility for the full lifecycle of the services, from design and development to deployment, monitoring, and production support.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
• Build and enhance microservices that support customer verification processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Integrate internal systems with third-party services and SaaS solutions.
• Ensure application reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Contribute to technical discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work in an Agile environment with end-to-end ownership of services.

Requirements:

• Several years of commercial experience with Python development.
• Strong experience building microservices and web applications.
• Good knowledge of MySQL and database programming.
• Experience working with Linux.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture, including design, implementation, and monitoring.
• Experience integrating on-premises services and SaaS solutions.
• Experience with message brokers such as Kafka or ActiveMQ.
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Experience working in Agile development teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools to support coding, testing, debugging, and software development.

Nice to have:

• Experience with FastAPI.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
