About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced finance leader to take full ownership of the Group’s IFRS reporting function and support the continued development and transformation of the wider finance organization.
This is a Director-grade position reporting directly to the CFO, with full ownership of the Group Reporting function and a broader mandate to lead the Finance Excellence agenda across the organization. 
The Director will be responsible for the quality, accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of financial reporting. In addition, the Director will lead the Finance Excellence and transformation agenda across finance functions, with a focus on process improvement, standardization, systems, automation, controls, and data quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Group Reporting and IFRS Leadership:

  • Lead the Group reporting and IFRS consolidation function, ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent financial reporting across all locations
  • Take overall responsibility for the preparation of the Group’s IFRS financial statements and related disclosures
  • Provide guidance and final technical conclusions on complex, significant, and non-routine accounting and reporting matters
  • Develop and maintain Group accounting policies, reporting standards, and methodological guidance
  • Ensure consistent application of IFRS and Group accounting policies across legal entities and jurisdictions
  • Establish and maintain effective governance over the Group reporting process
  • Oversee the quality of financial information submitted by local finance teams and address material reporting issues
  • Lead the external audit process and manage relationships with auditors
  • Monitor developments in IFRS and lead the implementation of new reporting requirements
  • Lead, develop, and strengthen the Group Reporting team.

Finance Excellence and Transformation:

  • Lead and coordinate the execution of the finance excellence and transformation agenda across finance processes
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve finance processes, controls, systems, data quality, and organizational effectiveness
  • Coordinate transformation initiatives and cross-functional finance projects
  • Challenge existing finance processes and practices and develop practical recommendations for improvement
  • Drive the standardization of finance processes, policies, controls, responsibilities, and data definitions
  • Identify unnecessary manual processes and recommend proportionate solutions
  • Support the development of reliable and scalable finance systems and reporting architecture
  • Contribute to the governance of the Group chart of accounts, reporting dimensions, mapping rules, and finance master data
  • Act as a senior finance representative in automation initiatives and ERP integration
  • Monitor delivery of transformation initiatives and ensure that expected benefits are achieved.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent
  • Strong senior-level experience in IFRS reporting, consolidation, and audit in Big 4 (Manager, Senior manager level) is a must for this position, supported by 3+ years' track in finance management, process improvement, FP&A or similar
  • Deep practical knowledge of IFRS and experience resolving complex accounting matters
  • Experience working in an international, multi-entity, or multi-jurisdictional organization is a strong asset
  • Proven experience leading finance transformation, process improvement, ERP integration and automation initiatives is a strong asset
  • Strong leadership, project-management, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Passion to drive changes added by ability to influence, challenge, and coordinate senior finance professionals across different functions
  • Strong communication skills in English.
