Senior PHP Engineer (#4964)

We are looking for a Senior PHP/Laravel Developer to join a long-term, web-based SaaS project focused on automating tax recovery processes for European markets. The platform is designed to streamline workflows, reduce manual work, and ensure accurate, compliant reporting across multiple countries.

Requirements:

• Maintain and enhance an existing VAT automation platform;
• Develop reliable, reusable, and scalable backend code;
• Collaborate with a distributed team following Agile (SCRUM) methodologies;
• Optimize system performance and help reduce technical debt;
• Work with APIs and automate processes to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Minimum 5 years of commercial PHP experience, with strong Laravel expertise;
• Deep understanding of OOP principles and design patterns;
• Experience with YAML, XML, and integration with third-party APIs;
• Comfortable with LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP);
• Proficient in Git or equivalent version control;
• Agile/SCRUM experience;
• Upper-intermediate English for business communication;
• Soft skills: collaborative, proactive, responsible, and effective communicator.

Nice to have:

• Frontend development with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS;
• Experience with caching, observability tools, or performance tuning.
