The Project Manager will lead and oversee complex AI-driven projects within a large pharmaceutical organization. This role requires a blend of project management skills and Agile methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This position offers the opportunity to drive impactful, cutting-edge initiatives that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency through AI.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution:

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with business goals.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring all project goals are met.
• Lead delivery of a fixed-price project, ensuring strict control over scope, timelines, and financial performance.
• Proactively identify and address budget deviations, implementing corrective actions as needed.
•  Manage scope changes and change requests, ensuring proper impact assessment on budget, timeline, and resources.

Scrum Master Duties:

•  Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives).
• Coach team members on Agile practices and principles to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
•  Remove impediments and obstacles that hinder the team's progress.

 Stakeholder Management:

• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure project alignment.
• Manage expectations and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders

Risk and Issue Management:

• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Develop contingency plans and proactively address potential project challenges.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Continuous Improvement:

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and team performance.
•  Implement best practices in project management and Agile methodologies.
• Monitor and evaluate project performance, providing recommendations for process enhancements.

Skills and Competencies:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management, nice to have experience with a projects that focus on AI/ML
• Proven experience delivering fixed-price (fixed-scope/fixed-budget) projects is mandatory.
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and risk management.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools: Jira, Confluence.
• Ability to manage multiple teams across different locations simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of the System and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) management process.
• Knowledge of software design, development, testing, and delivery methodologies.

Additional Requirements

Certifications:

• PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is nice to have .

Technical Skills (nice to have):

• Familiarity with AI/LLM ecosystems (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, vector databases).
• Understanding of AI system architectures (e.g., RAG pipelines, APIs, cloud-based AI services).
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and AI-related services.
