Senior .Net Backend Engineer (#5512)

N-iX is looking for a visionary and highly technical Senior .NET Backend Engineer to drive a massive, greenfield platform transformation for a fully regulated bank.

You will initially play a pivotal role in the Discovery Phase, collaborating closely with enterprise architects to untangle a current tech stack and design a modern, standard-compliant Customer Data Model (CDM). Following a successful discovery, you will transition into leading the engineering team to design, build, and deliver the Minimum Viable Product, starting with a modern customer application and onboarding platform.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Solution Architects and business stakeholders to assess existing applications, services, and database structures, identifying opportunities for modernization and simplification.
• Analyze complex legacy business logic and define strategies for abstraction, migration, or redevelopment.
• Design and evolve a modern customer-centric data model, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and alignment with industry best practices.
• Define integration architectures and abstraction layers connecting new applications with legacy systems and third-party services.
• Participate in discovery workshops, technical assessments, and architecture reviews with senior client stakeholders.
• Design and development of modern web applications, APIs, and microservices using .NET technologies.
• Evaluate and introduce AI-assisted engineering practices and development workflows to improve delivery efficiency and code quality.

Requirements: 

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience using C# and .NET technologies (.NET Core, ASP.NET Core).
• Strong experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and on-prem infrastructures. 
• Expert-level knowledge of SQL Server and relational database design.
• Practical knowledge of ADO.NET, Entity Framework, and Dapper.
• Strong experience designing complex data models and integrating enterprise applications.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar solutions.

Nice to have: 

• Experience leading greenfield digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience in modernizing large-scale legacy platforms.
• Knowledge of domain-driven design (DDD) and event-driven architectures.
• Experience within banking, fintech, financial services, or highly regulated industries.
• Understanding of customer onboarding, digital identity verification, AML/KYC processes, and compliance-driven solutions.
• Familiarity with core banking systems, customer master data management, or enterprise integration platforms.
• Proven full-stack development experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
