The findings, based on over 100,000 job postings from 2024 and survey data from 1,660 IT specialists, reveal an industry navigating challenges while adapting to new realities. Despite a 9% decline in job offers compared to the previous year, the market has shown signs of stabilization, with a growing emphasis on senior-level positions and emerging technologies like AI, cloud computing, and data analytics. Flexibility in work arrangements remains a cornerstone, with most professionals favoring remote or hybrid models.
The report also highlighted key insights into salary dynamics. Juniors saw the most significant pay increases in 2024, earning an average of 7,800 PLN (+4%) on UoP contracts and 9,125 PLN (+7.35%) on B2B agreements. However, seniors experienced a 2.86% reduction in average UoP salaries, earning 20,400 PLN, while their B2B rates remained stable at 24,360 PLN. Notably, discrepancies between actual salaries and advertised job offers persist. For instance, mid-level specialists earned 19% less on UoP and 17% less on B2B contracts than what job postings suggested. Similarly, actual salaries across all levels were, on average, 20% lower than professionals’ declared expectations.
