Technology Office designs and executes industry-relevant inventions that allow organizations to realize exceptional business value from technology. We are looking for an energetic and passionate Principal Data Architect (AWS) who can bring their experience and knowledge to our Technology Office team. As a Principal Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data solutions for our clients and develop, execute the Data & Analytics practice within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary technical associate of the business improvement team in assisting customer success in creating data analytics solutions
- Co-create and develop the Data & Analytics practice within company, focusing on data services and consulting offerings
- Lead engagement with potential clients to design software solutions (architecture) during the sales process to understand their business goals, data requirements, and technical constraints, and translate them into comprehensive data solution designs
- Conduct in-depth analysis of existing data systems, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for architectural enhancements
- Design end-to-end data architectures, including data ingestion, storage, processing, integration, and visualization, to meet clients' specific business needs
- Develop data models, data flows, and data integration strategies to ensure seamless and efficient data management across various systems and platforms
- Provide guidance and technical expertise to development teams in implementing data solutions, ensuring compliance with best practices and industry standards
- Perform data profiling, data quality assessments, and data governance activities to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to enable advanced analytics and data-driven insights through the implementation of appropriate data structures and algorithms
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic recommendations and guidance on data-related initiatives
- Be prepared for occasional travel for client workshops, discovery phases, pre-sales activities, and lead-generation events like conferences, round tables, etc.
- Continuously enhance our Data and Analytics offerings, staying abreast of market needs and modern data trends
- Provide mentorship and technology education internally
Requirements:
- Experience in customer-facing, advising, and consulting
- Proven experience (4+ years) working as a Data Architect or a similar role in a consulting environment
- At least 8 years experience in IT with a focus on Data Engineering
- Energetic team player who works well across boundaries and readily adapts to change and enjoys rapid development
- Experience with designing data platforms on AWS. Including designing and implementing Redshift, Aurora, Glue, Lake Formation, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, Kafka, CodeCommitt and other data related services
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into practical data solutions
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven experience of building MDM solutions.
- Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake and DBT
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer) are highly desirable
- Experience with various kinds of models including but not limited to C4, 4+1
- Hands on experience documenting solution architecture and detailed designs
- Extensive knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, data warehouses, ETL/ELT processes, and data management tools
- Conversational English level (B2+)
- Software development-related degree or equivalent in education or experience
