Lviv – April 21, 2023 – N-iX opened a new computer lab at the Lviv Polytechnic National University Software Department in Lviv, Ukraine. Named “Game Design and Virtual Reality,” the lab was developed in collaboration with the university to bolster students’ multimedia and gaming programming courses.
The collaboration agreement between the university and N-iX was signed during the lab’s opening ceremony. As part of the agreement, a degree in software engineering will now have “Multimedia and Gaming Programming” as one of its elective blocks. N-iX Game & VR Studio experts and Lviv Polytechnic crafted comprehensive course curriculums for “Game Design and Development” and “Virtual Reality” courses, for which students will receive academic credits.
During the opening ceremony, N-iX personnel also delivered a lecture on “Game Development and Virtual Reality: Prospects for the Industry” to all attendees.
According to Daniel Poludyonny, AVP Delivery and Head of Game & VR Studio at N-iX, such an initiative will help replenish the market with new, qualified specialists:
“Our goal is to help universities with modern technologies, to make the learning process more relevant, and grow a new generation of cool professionals. What’s more, our Game & VR studio is growing, and the demand for qualified professionals is increasing, so we will be happy to offer new opportunities for talented young individuals”.
Thanks to N-iX’s support, the lab is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology and will be accessible to students in building #5 of Lviv Polytechnic, room 410 (S. Bandery St., 28a).
